Special Town Meeting Warrant Article, wording is the same for both Adams and Cheshire
Article 1 To see if the Town of Adams/Cheshire will vote to approve or borrow a sum of money not to exceed $40,561,257, as voted by the Adams Cheshire Regional School Committee, to be expended under the direction of the School Building Committee, to construct, equip and furnish a renovation and addition to the Hoosac Valley High School located at 125 Savoy Road, Cheshire, MA 01225-9018, which school facility shall have an anticipated useful life as an educational facility for the instruction of school children of at least 50 years, and for which the Adams Cheshire Regional School District may be eligible for a school construction grant from the Massachusetts School Building Authority (“MSBA”). The MSBA’s grant program is a non-entitlement, discretionary program based on need, as determined by the MSBA, and any project costs the Adams Cheshire Regional School District incurs in excess of any grant approved by and received from the MSBA shall be the sole responsibility of the Adams Cheshire Regional School District. Any grant that the Adams Cheshire Regional School District may receive from the MSBA for the Project shall not exceed the lesser of (1) 77.37 percent ( %) of eligible, approved project costs, as determined by the MSBA, provided, however that in the event that the Office of the Inspector General approves the District to use the Construction Manager at Risk Construction delivery method for this project, the reimbursement rate shall increase to 78.37 percent, or (2) the total maximum grant amount determined by the MSBA.
